Akhlah has all of the Jewish holidays with wonderful explanations, traditions, crafts, coloring pages and Hebrew vocabulary. All of the Jewish holidays are included.

Akhlah : Jewish Holidays for Children
  • Akhlah: Tzom Tammuz - The 17th of Tammuz
The Fast of the 17th of Tammuz (Tzom Tammuz) is observed from the break of dawn until sunset. This is a more relaxed fast than Yom Kippur and Tisha B'Av as we are allowed to wash and wear leather. Special prayers are added to the morning and afternoon services during the fast. This day is the beginning of the Three Weeks, an annual period of mourning over the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem.

  • Akhlah : Shabbat for Children
Shabbat is a once a week rest and celebration of being Jewish. Akhlah explains the traditions, Hebrew Vocabulary, Blessings for Shabbat, has coloring pages, and there is even a Havdallah ceremony -- all in an easy to use format for kids of all ages.

  • Akhlah : Jewish Holidays for Children
From Shabbat to Yom Kippur and every holiday in between, Akhlah has them! Wonderful explanations of the Traditions behind the holidays, Crafts, Coloring pages, Hebrew Vocabulary and much more.

  • Akhlah: Shabbat Songs
The songs for the Shabbat service are recorded so that you can learn the traditional melodies. Each of the songs is in MP3 format so you can download them to your MP3 player and learn them.

  • Akhlah: Perpetual Hebrew Calendar
Take a look at our Hebrew Perpetual Calendar. Hebrew months of the year along with the weekly Torah readings and holiday information. Gregorian (Civil) dates are given for each day. Printer friendly so you can easily print them out for yourself.
